Stakes success for Cheesy Fingers

Stakes success for Cheesy Fingers

Cheesy Fingers raced in to the record books after a stunning win in the Group 2 Raith Memorial at Menangle.

The daughter of Betterthancheddar took the lead early in the race and then ran her rivals through quarters of 27.1, 27.5, 27.8 and 27.9 to win in 1:50.3!

That time makes her the fastest three year old filly ever in the Southern Hemisphere!

Interestingly the previous record holder was her half sister The Orange Agent.

It is well worth mentioning that Soho Nolita (Mach Three) ran an incredible race to finish second after facing the breeze.

Bred by Moira, John and Trish Green and Peter Bult, Cheesy Fingers is out of their Artiscape mare Lady Fingers who has produced four winners.

Cheesy Fingers is the fifth stakes winner to come from Betterthancheddar's crop of three year olds.
