Sportswriter and Mach Three strike GOLD

The progeny of Sportswriter and Mach Three dominated the $105,000 Ontario Sires Gold legs for two year olds at Grand River Raceway this past Monday night.

Windy Sport (Sportswriter) made every post a winner, leading all the way to win by one and a half lengths.

This was her second win of the season and takes her earnings to $115,041.

In the second leg for fillies, Aint Three Ok (Mach Three) made a mid race move to take the lead and she went on to win comfortably by over two lengths.

This was also her second win of the season and the victory bumps her earnings to $137,800.

While on the colts side Yogi Bayama (Sportswriter) sprinted home best to get up by a neck.

He too became a new $100,000 earner with the win - his third in his first season of racing.

Sportswriter is having a great season with his two year olds in North America and currently is the leading sire by average earnings per foal (twenty foals or more).
