What a night at Globe Derby Park on Saturday night with all four Group Two $60,000 South Australian Southern Cross Finals going to the progeny of Alabar stallions!
Sprinting home strongly, the son of Art Major finished off best to win by over three lengths in 1:58.
Bred by Pinaroo Park and purchased by Mark Billinger for $37,000 at the APG Sydney Sale, Rap Artist has now won $110,286.
He also joins an elite group of horses who have won back to back Southern Cross Finals.
Bred and raced by Adrian, David and Julie Kemp, Stars Of Courage has now won five of his nine starts and has earnings of $51,229.
A daughter of Rock N Roll Heaven, Rocknroll Magic has won nineteen times from 26 starts. Her earnings now stand at $299,973.
Driver Mark Billinger somehow slotted Our Celebrity through a couple of gaps in the early stages and settle in the breeze from the second row.
Once in the breeze, the daughter of Mach Three over raced a touch, but it didn't matter and she was simply too good for her rivals.
In the end she scored the sixth win of her career and pushed her earnings to $88,396.
Her win brought up a double for the breeders Peter Gleeson and Bruce and Craig Cameron as they also bred Rocknroll Magic.
