Perfect Sting maintained his perfect record with a win in the Breeders Crown final at Hoosier Park on Saturday night.
He did have to share the victory though.
Southwind Gendry won the battle, but Perfect Sting quickly made a move down the back straight to take the front.
Down the long home stretch Perfect Sting withstood a strong challenge from Southwind Gendry, however Summa Cum Laude flew home late to join him on the line.
The judge could not split them so Perfect Sting and Summa Cum Laude were the winners with Southwind Gendry a head away back in third.
Perfect Sting has now had 10 starts for 10 wins and $534,300 in earnings.
In the two year old fillies final JK Alwaysbalady (Always B Miki) finished an agonisingly close second.
She powered home to just miss out on victory by a head.
Always B Miki is the leading first season sire and currently third on the US two year old siring premiership.
