Fight For Glory (Art Major) added another Group One win to her resume this past Friday when she defeated the best mares in New Zealand in the $100,000 Queen Of Hearts at Alexandra Park.
After being allowed to settle early, Natalie Rasmussen gave Fight For Glory a confident drive and she took the lead with just over a lap to go.
Sprinting home in 55.4, Fight For Glory won by one and a quarter lengths over her arch rival The Orange Agent.
Her time of 2:39.7 was a new race record, bettering the previous record held by Adore Me of 2:40.
This was Fight For Glory's 12th win from 26 starts and takes her earnings to $644,621. It was also her fourth Group One win.
