Major Pocket produced the fastest time by a two year old in Australia this season when he stopped the clock at 1:53.8 at Bunbury last Saturday night. (Watch Replay)
Leading from barrier three, Major Pocket was put under the microscope for the whole journey as El Barcelona eye balled him in the breeze.
Major Pocket absorbed all the pressure though and found enough to kick clear in the home straight and hold off the fast finishing Our Zac Whitby to win by almost a length.
The time of 1:53.8 was made up of quarters of 27.4, 29.6, 28.3 and 28.5.
Now undefeated in two starts, Major Pocket is bred and owned by Rob Tomlinson's Oz-West Pacing.
He is the first foal of the talented In The Pocket mare Elena S 1:55 - $97,549.
