Lumineer dominates Group One APG Final

Lumineer dominates Group One APG Final

He just might be the best two year old we have seen in Australia in recent years.

Lumineer scored yet another dominant win this time in the Group One Australian Pacing Gold Final.

The son of Sportswriter started an odds on favourite and fully justified his quote with an easy eight metre win.

Jason Lee launched Lumineer from the gate and he showed explosive speed to lead easily. Stefsbest (Sportswriter) was on his back with Higherthananeagle (Mach Three) in the breeze.

Lee controlled the race with a cheap second quarter before sprinting home in 28.7 and 26.6 to win over Stefsbest and Jilliby Lorenzo (Roll With Joe).

Lumineer has now had five starts for five wins and earnings of $177,980.

Bred by Pepper Tree Farm, he sold for $30,000 to Ange McDowall at the Melbourne APG sale.

The race was a triumph for Pepper Tree Farm as they also sold Jilliby Lorenzo.

For Sportswriter the race was a demonstration of his siring power. The son of Artsplace is now Australia's leading two year old sire.
