Lost In Time emulates A Rocknroll Dance in Governors Cup

Lost In Time emulated his sire, A Rocknroll Dance, by winning the $411,000 Governor’s Cup at the Meadowlands on Saturday.

Given a great drive by Scott Zeron, Lost In Time settled in third position early before making a move to the front in the second quarter.

Breeders Crown champion Stay Hungry moved up in the breeze outside of Lost In Time and those two cleared out coming off the home bend.

Battling all the way up the long Meadowlands home straight, Lost In Time dug deep when it counted and was able to hold off Stay Hungry and win by a nose.

For Lost In Time it was his fifth win from nine starts and takes his earnings to $687,432 - making him the richest two year old pacing colt or gelding of the season.

For A Rocknroll Dance it means that he is now positioned in third place on the US Two Year Old Siring Table and will more than likely finish there.

This is a pretty remarkable achievement given it is his first crop that totaled just 69 foals.

Lost In Time was bred by Diamond Creek and is out of the Artiscape mare Summer Mystery.
