Little General Rules Breeders Crown Final

Little General Rules Breeders Crown Final

Our Little General produced an authoritative performance to win the Group One $280,000 Breeders Crown Two Year Old Pacing Colt and Geldings Final at Melton. (Watch Replay)

The race produced excitement right from the start when race favourite Tingira Beach broke on the first bend.

Chris Alford produced a great drive to have Our Little General in the one out one back position within a few hundred metres of the race.

His cover was lost however when Sunset Zeus worked his way to the front shortly after.

With his main rivals making their moves, Alford urged Our Little General up closer and they took the lead at the bell.

This proved to be the winning move as he was never headed from there on out and ran out a 4.9 metre winner!

The win capped a remarkable season for Our Little General who started out on the 6th of February and continually got better throughout the year.

He finished with a seasonal total of 13 starts for 8 wins, four seconds and earnings of $244,305.

Bred by Anne and Bill Anderson, Out Little General is by Mach Three and out of the Western Terror mare Kabbalah Karen B.

Anne and Bill purchased her at the 2010 Harrisburg Mixed Sale in America and now less than six years later she is the dam of a Breeders Crown winner!
