Heavenly Jewels Win

Heavenly Jewels Win

Heaven Rocks scored one of the biggest wins in Harness Jewels history with a four and three quarter length romp.

The son of Rock N Roll Heaven was stuck out three wide during the 26.9 opening quarter before finding the front with 1100 metres to travel.

With Mark Purdon in the sulky, Heaven Rocks continued to keep the pace solid, running through the next two quarters in 28.9 and 28.7.

It was in the home straight though when he sets tongues wagging. Despite taking a while to run truly, Heaven Rocks simply exploded away from his rivals to win with consummate ease.

The timer stopped at a sensational 1:52.4 and with that Heaven Rocks stamped himself as a horse with a very bright future.

Bred by Benstud Standardbreds in Victoria, Heaven Rocks was purchased by PI & GJ Bloodstock for $60,000.

He is the first foal of the Group Two winning Pacific Fella mare Mendelico 1:56.1 - $188,243.
