Alabar secure two yearlings for Racing Syndicate at Karaka

The Alabar Racing Syndicate secured two outstanding colts at Karaka including the very first Auckland Reactor yearling to be sold in New Zealand.

It seemed appropriate that the first yearling purchased for the syndicate was Chase Auckland. By Auckland Reactor, he was bred by Tony and Anne Parker (Auckland Reactor's breeders) and selected by Mark Purdon.

On Purdon stated that he thought Chase Auckland was the best of the Auckland Reactor’s in Auckland - "He's got a lot of his father's attributes," Purdon said.

Chase Auckland is the first foal of a two time winning Falcon Seelster half sister to the Group One winner Hug The Wind 1:56.3 - $311,203.

The second yearling purchased was Charlie Hebdo, a stunning Mach Three colt out of the fine producing Live Or Die mare Unrehearsed.

At stud Unrehearsed has produced 5 winners, 3 $100,000+ earners including Lizzie Maguire 1:55.1 - $477,366.

Charlie Hebdo will be trained by Geoff Small.

The focus now shifts to Christchurch where Mark Purdon and Nathan Willamson will look to secure the Alabar Racing Syndicate one more yearling each.
