A Rocknroll Dance and Art Major sire new Group 1 winners

Its Rock And Roll and Soho Interceptor scored Group 1 wins for their respective sires A Rocknroll Dance and Art Major at Gloucester Park last Friday night.

Its Rock And Roll became A Rocknroll Dance's first Group 1 winner when taking out the $100,000 WA Sales Classic for two year old colts and geldings. (Watch Replay)

Three wide for the majority of the first lap, Its Rock And Roll received cover with 900 metres to travel. He then made his move again on the home bend and got home best to defeat Shockwave (Mach Three) by a half head.

The time of 1:56.6 was a new race record.

Bred by Dr Ed Dewar, Its Rock And Roll is out of the Bettors Delight mare Miss Worthy Whitby.

In the $100,000 WA Sales Classic Final for two year old fillies, Soho Interceptor lived up to her breeding and scored a half length victory. (Watch Replay)

Bred and raced by Rob Watson, Soho Interceptor is by Art Major out of the former Australia Two Year Old Filly of the Year Aussie Made Lombo.

After finding the front in the early stages, she was always going to be hard to beat. Sprinting home in 58.1, Soho Interceptor won in 1:57.6

Aussie Made Lombo is by Bettors Delight out of the champion mare Tailamade Lombo.
