TT 1:47 - $1,659,413. Brown Horse, Foaled 2003, 15.2 Hands.
Chicago based trainer Tom Harmer knows what it is like to have a champion in your barn – in 1985 and 1986 Falcon Seelster was his star pupil.
He very quickly found out in 2005 that he had another one on his hands – this time it was the drop dead gorgeous looking colt Jereme's Jet.
In just his 3rd start in a race Jereme's Jet collected first prize in the $1 million Metro Pace and in the process set a Mohawk track record of 1:50.4. By the end of 2005 Jereme had a USTA 2yo of the Year trophy to add to the cabinet.
From start to finish Jereme's Jet displayed raw speed and the 32 start career finished at The Red Mile with an awesome Time Trial around the famous red clay track in 1:47.
• The fastest and richest son at stud in the world.
• USTA 2yo of the Year with victories in the Metro Pace, Governors Cup and Breeders Crown.
• The second foal of Ohyouprettything 1:50.8, the winner of $1,135,873.
• Ohyouprettything, a granddaughter of Abercrombie, has produced 2 in 1:49 from her first 2 foals.
Jereme's Jet will stand his second Southern Hemisphere season in 2009/10.
He entered stud in the Northern Hemisphere is 2008.
Jereme's Jet is the fastest and richest son of Western Hanover at stud so when trying to figure out what mares might be suitable for him it makes sense to look at what has worked for his sire and other stallions bred very similarly, ie Western Ideal.
First and foremost Jereme's Jet should suit Abercrombie line mares. This cross seems ideal as it has been so successful with Western Hanover and Western Ideal and as Jeremes Jet is out of a Sportsmaster mare this type of mating will result in a nice double up of Abercrombie.
Jereme's Jet should also come under strong consideration for mares by Direct Scooter line stallions such as In The Pocket, Christian Cullen, Mach Three, Stoneridge Scooter, Ok Bye, Deal Direct, Direct Flight as this type of cross has been hugely successful in North America.
Horses of the caliber of Rocknroll Hanover, American Ideal, Rustler Hanover, Georgia Pacific and Western Cyclone are all bred this way.
The Cam Fella line has also been a favourite of Western Ideal with such examples being Breeders Crown winner Calgary Hanover out of a Presidential Ball mare and Armbro Deuce coming from a Cams Card Shark mare.
Such Cam Fella line stallions to have stood in Australia and New Zealand include Fake Left, Armbro Operative, Bettors Delight, Presidential Ball, Precious Bunny, Pacific Fella, Camtastic, Cameleon, Brioso Hanover, Lucky Cam and Exotic Earl.
Falcon Seelster mares have crossed well with Western Ideal (eg Dawn Ofa New Day, Ideal News, etc) and I would expect them to do the same with Jereme's Jet.
Owners of Walton Hanover mares should also have a look at Jereme's Jet as a mating of a Walton Hanover mare with Jereme would give the foal a 4 x 3 cross to the influential mare Wendy Sue Hanover.
