Alabar Bloodstock stallions have produced six of the 12 finalists in this Saturday’s $200,000 Group 1 Alabar Victoria Derby at Tabcorp Park Melton.

Art Major, the sire of the 2011 Derby winner Sushi Sushi, has four representatives in the heat winners Restrepo and Major Post, and Night Affair (3rd) and Philadelphia Man (4th).

Mach Three, who left the 2009 winner Captain Joy, is represented by Charlie Machsheen, while Village Jasper is represented by Mr Nickel.

Alabar stallions have produced five of the last eight Victoria Derby champions.
